On the night of the masked ball, Connor has promises to keep that he's ultimately going to regret, so he won't be around whenever Hank comes back to their room to get changed for the ball. What will be there, though, is an simple black box on Hank's bed, containing a pair of lapis lazuli cuff links.
It's not his physical presence. But it's the best way of showing he's thinking about Hank that Connor's got tonight. Maybe it's enough for now.
He's a little disappointed to find out that he'll be on his own for much of the night, but the cufflinks are nice. He replaces the set that comes with his dress uniform with these and commences the process of getting dressed nicely, completely underestimating how much of Connor's night's going to be busy.
At least he might be able to appreciate it from a distance.
Yeah. Sure. Just name a time and place and I'll be there.
[He's hoping Tidus is still Tidus. It does seem like, at some point, that people that leave the building don't seem to care much about this network anymore.]
what time is good for a cop? theres an indoor stadium where you can watch practices. or theres a bar and grill someone i know owns
[ He thinks the stadium might be good, if he remembers what Hank said before. Not too busy outside of games, noisy because of the echoing ... and completely related to sports. ]
[Huh. That's kind of strange. And he's assuming that by 'friend', this person means Connor. He swears to damn hell god that if they do something else stupid he'll lose his mind.]
[But he's curious, enough to solicit Connor's help with a little recon and go to the meeting place with him. And with Maggie. Because he wants Maggie to be on alert, and she hasn't failed them yet.]
[Connor is exactly as confused as Hank, but there's no way he wants his partner going into this alone. Even without the invite, he'd probably have scoped out the area and hung around.
Maybe knowing that is the reason whoever this is invited him too.
He shows up to...whatever this is, in casual clothes and a beanie that hides his LED completely. Hank can probably tell it's yellow without even seeing it, but he doesn't want to light up the whole place, or be immediately identifiable from a distance.]
Well he didn't exactly know what Connor was, but his demonic senses were high enough to know he wasn't fully human, but he can almost never tell a clone. So, fun times.
In the meeting place, which was simply another empty werehouse, theres just so many of them! A tall young man steps forward with a hoodie up, but it doesn't hide the loose silver fringe of hair sticking out. ]
I am glad you both came. I do apologize for the strangeness of all of this, but me coming out at all is a dangerous task. For that I must state first, secondly, I wanted to also apologize for not getting the chance to speak to you at the meeting, Officer Anderson, I am Vergil, I work for the Malakye offically.
[First thing is first. He's not had much of a chance to talk to her since the executions. He's been trying to hold everything together. And, honestly, not lose hope himself.]
[He's amazed, and intrigued, that burner phones exist here. It's suspicious enough that he is careful with it. Especially after what happened with the Heart. He's guessing this is the man he met- Domino seems like the type to sign her name to stuff.]
If this is about the drug case, I've quit the DPD. Any crimes you'll have to report to them. I can still help with missing persons and stolen property though.
Where should I meet you?
[He has to offer a cover that doesn't involve the Heart.]
[Assuming he figures out where Hank is working now, he shows up at his new office, entering after a single knock on the door. He looks gloomier than usual but who isn't nowadays.
He looks at Hank long enough to acknowledge him before staring off to the side.]
Rinoa's gone. My girlfriend. I know she's... [she didn't go home. She's no longer human... But he wants to know for himself. He shakes his head.] I want to know where 'she' is.
16/11 action? i guess

I need to speak to you. We met at the party at Hangman's daughter. I can't tell you my name.
[ Mostly because their was a reward for his capture.]
